A branded table cover does more for a small booth than any other single purchase. It hides the venue's scuffed folding table, conceals the boxes and bags stored underneath, and puts your business name at waist height where visitors queue and talk.

This page covers the styles available, how to pick the right size, which fabrics and print methods to ask for, and the mistakes that waste money on a first order.

Types of custom table covers

Table throw

Drapes loosely over the table and falls to the floor. The most forgiving style and the easiest to reuse across different venues.

Best for: First-time exhibitors, mixed table sizes

Fitted cover

Tailored with sewn corners for a sharp, boxy finish. Looks more deliberate than a throw but only fits one table size.

Best for: Businesses using the same table every show

Stretch cover

Spandex-style fabric pulled tight over the table and legs for a modern, wrinkle-free look.

Best for: Tech, fitness and contemporary brands

Table runner

A narrow printed strip laid across a plain cloth. The budget option, and easy to swap between events.

Best for: Tight budgets, venue-supplied linens

The same table under each style. A throw drapes loosely and fits several table sizes; fitted and stretch covers are cut for one table only; a runner lays over the venue’s own cloth.

Frequently asked questions

What size table cover do I need for a trade show?

Most US trade shows supply either a 6 ft or 8 ft rectangular table, roughly 30 inches deep and 30 inches high. Confirm which with the organiser before ordering. If you attend varied events and want a single cover, an 8 ft throw is the safest choice because it can be folded to fit a 6 ft table.

Should I get a 3-sided or 4-sided table cover?

A 3-sided cover leaves the back open so you can sit behind the table and reach storage underneath — best when the table is against a wall or backdrop. A 4-sided cover closes all the way round and looks neat from every angle, which matters when the table sits in an open aisle.

How much does a custom table cover cost?

Expect roughly $120 to $260 for a dye-sublimated polyester cover, depending on table size, whether it is 3- or 4-sided, and how much of the surface is printed. Full-coverage prints and fitted or stretch styles sit at the higher end.

Can table covers be washed?

Most polyester covers are machine washable on a cold, gentle cycle. Dye-sublimated printing is dyed into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, so colours survive washing far better than screen-printed or vinyl graphics.
